ABS, flat spot tire
#1

I'm racing an 944 S2 -91 w. GT3 brakes in front, R tires and ABS. Have got a big flat spot on a front tire. How? Have I missed the red ABS warning light, like Eric K writes in: "ABS switch, it is really easy" oct 16 2007 ? Or any other good reasons? Wheel sensors are clean.
I also feel that the front brakes locks up momentary at hard braking. Old ABS system? Can it be modified? I use Ate blue racing brake fluid.
Regards from Sweden, where the R-season is finished now.

Hi - it's still possible to get some lockup even with ABS. If you spun at high speed with a long slide, that would also flat spot the tires. I race and always disable the ABS on my cars - don't need it if you can master threshold braking. Most rules in amatuer US racing disallow ABS. Racing in the rain might be easier with ABS but I prefer to not rely on those system in racing conditions.
