Main cpooling fan switch
#1

I just found out that my cooling fan switch has gone bad and will not kick on unless I turn on the A/C. What exactly to I need to ask for? I have seen on some sites that list them as auxillary fan switches but my mechanic told me it was the main switch.

Most online sources call it an auxiliary fan switch.

At hot (cool) tip is to get an ~91-92 VW Vanagon fan switch. It activates at a lower temperature and keeps the engine temp gauge steady at the 8:00 mark all the time. Direct fit.

Which of these parts (if any) is the one needed?

As we were grilling hot dogs on my headers, it occurred to me I'm tired of my temperature gauge bouncing off the second tick mark before the fans kick on...

It is the switch that turns on at 85C and 93C. Not sure which one that is from Rock Auto, but this place has them for a ferw bucks less. They are even in Reseda so shipping should be instant.
