I am interested in buying a rear wiper motor off an 87 944 Turbo. Does anyone know if it fits my 968? It looks pretty much the same.

Part number is 477955713a


Any suggestions of whether it will fit? (according to the part number it does not apply to a 968)

Not sure if it matters in your case, but the hole in the hatch glass is a different size from the 944 to 968.

Ah, I'm pretty sure the glass is the same size.
You may be thinking of the windshield that is different.

If your rear wiper doesn't work, can it be removed and the glass hole plugged? Where can I find a plug, I've seen them on cars, but can't find where to buy.

I tried to replace mine with a 944 assembly one and it was different. The mounting was somehow different. I plugged the hole and never looked back.
