Smokiemon968 was recently asking about the Boxster shift knob but what about other 986/996 parts? For instance, will the 986/996 hand brake assembly fit in our cars? I've looked at the overall design and they look comparable but I don't know about the internals. Will it bolt right in? If not, can it be done with some minor modification? The leather on mine is really starting to wear and I would like to replace it with one that has the Porsche script in it.

Thats a good question, I would consider that too.



If it does not, you could find one for a 944 or 951 to replace your worn one. They pop up pretty frequently.
