WOW! I just received my "custom" stainless sill plates from Harvey and they are AMAZING! Thanks Harvey!
I will post a picture tonight after I have taken a picture (camera was "dead" this mornig). I hope to install them on Saturday if it doesn't rain.

I'm glad it worked out. Harvey's products are quite lovely.

Can someone send me Harvey's info as well?

It would be nice if Harvey would put together a photo collection of all the designs that he can make.

Thanks for sending the contact info for Harvey. I'm in between getting the 968 vs PORSCHE lettering. Does anyone have a picture of the finished sills with the PORSCHE lettering?

Here is a picture of the one Harvey just sent me. It has both the 968 and the PORSCHE lettering PLUS the logo!
(The picture was taken on my pool table cover since I have not had a chance to install them yet. I tried to get a better shot of it, but the stainless is very reflective to the flash!)

I'm glad it worked out, and that you're pleased. Just make sure to take your time positioning the sills - the tape Harvey uses really STICKS!!!

Thanks for the "heads up" warning with regards to the two-sided tape Harvey uses. I will be extra careful.
There was a good "Installation Instruction" sheet in the package he sent.

Why go from a template when custom designs are so easy for him. Seems that Harvey can print what ever you dream up.

Some ideas for the next custom sills, if anyone is interested.

The 968 forums with the car logo to the right.

Or simply 968 with the logo of the car.

I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I just ordered mine - ended up going with the PORSCHE lettering on black and will post pictures when on car. Is the general thinking that the windex application is the way to go to make sure you get it on straight? If so, how much windex needs to be applied?

[quote name='968CPT' how much Windex needs to be applied?

I did the windex and only used a couple of squirts and it worked just fine.

It looks really nice. The ones that have bought it/seen it - does the one with black vinyl instead of stainless finish looks better for a black car? Does it vinyl hold?

I have the black finish sills on my silver car with black interior. Looks great. Only problem is the back coating can be scratched, as some idiot at a shop I took my car to manage to do. Straight steel may be less of a problem.

Thanks for your answer!
I am a little afraid that it could be scratched or worn out.. but it looks really nice, I think. I have to see more photos before I decide )

The blsck coating is tgh and seems Ok with normal wear and tear. But if it gets damaged it stands out like DBs because the silver shows through

difficult choice I think black coating would be nice for a black car but don't want it to get ugly with time. Maybe silver would be the best...
