Our 74 pantera
#1

we have finished all we can, now time to go to paint and body, the big brakes are on, Penske coilovers in, motor is all done, new close ratio ZF trans (That was fun to rebuild) you guys think Porsche gear boxes are expensive, the motor made over 600 hp on the engine dyno, I asked to get dad to go with injection but he wanted to keep his webers, now guess who has to tune them, its pretty close but not close enough yet, anyway I thought some you may like it, its been in my family for 1 year less than me.

oh wow those are fun cars - i used to hang out at bell performance (pantera shop in my home town) and i had a 72 for about a week - swapped it for a 67 427 4spd vette that i wrecked 2 weeks later - a good buddy of mine has one of the 5 original cars (they carried around) the country for the sales promo - latches are different among a few other "prototype" differences

very cool stuff

Niiiice ! I had a Maserati Merak which in some ways looked a lot like the Pantera, but unfortunately that's where the similarity ended - that car was a snail by comparison..

Bruce,

Your welcome down here anytime, but be sure to bring a spare pair of undies, the tires on the rear are 345/35/17 and its still hard to keep in a straight line in third gear , Sean has a pretty Quick 914 with a 450 hp 305 or something stuffed in it, that is pretty damn scary also, he is currently putting a 930 turbo gearbox in it so its out of commision for a while. for some reason the old 914 box liked to explode.
