Wife's new daily driver...
#1

After 7 years and 160K miles in her 2004 Honda Pilot, we'll pick this gem up in 4 days! Funny part is, I'm keeping the Pilot and trading in my 90K mile 2004 Jetta GLI! I thought it would be a cold day in you-know-where before we had an American car in our driveway...

The Pilot will run forever if you keep those fluids fresh (especially tranny). Getting ready to get the wife a new car as well. I'm debating on keeping her '03 MDX versus trading it in. I hate to get rid of a car that is so trouble free.

Yes, the Pilot has been rock solid. We seriously considered getting a new one, but it drives EXACTLY the same. She's tired of the same car - can't blame her. Drove the Acadia and loved it. Has a crap-load more room (should for the price difference) so we'll roll the dice and see what happens! If it ends up being problematic, we'll unload it before the warranty is up.

The Pilot will serve as our utility / tow vehicle, and my daily driver.

Eventually, ol' bessy will need a new diff / tranny, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. For the cost of a new tranny and the potential of going another 150-200K miles, it would be worth the $3-5K to do it.

looks nice Bio. GMC's design is beginning to look more foreign then domestic. I hear they really move but you pay the price at the pump. Let us know how she holds up.

Yeah, a gas-sipper she is not! Double whammy because the Mrs. has a heavy foot!

The Acadia is like a minivan on steroids - doesn't really look like one, but has pretty much the same practicality as one (or so we hope!).

I tried to convince the Mrs. to go with a Yukon or a Tahoe, but she didn't want a vehicle that big. I really wanted to murder-out a black Tahoe, so I guess I'll have to settle by simply doing it to her Acadia! Time for bling!
