Nice, but the lack of A/C is going to severely limit his market.

I dunno, there is definitely a smaller market for that car, mostly track oriented. Then if you are going that route, wouldn't you want to pick up a cheaper 968 and you can have a new SC for uner the initial bid on there. Take the savings and add some very nice suspension and other goodies to track it.

Then again, for $20K look at what other P-cars/race cars you can get and those for just a little bit more money, Boxsters, 993's, etc.

I guess it would just take the right kind of buyer. I have seen it listed a couple of times, wonder if it will go down if no one buys this round.

Now that 9M car is prepped! Wonder how bad it would be to import that monster... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Looks like it has a carbon fiber rear spoiler...imho it doesn't flow well with the car

That rear spoiler is a very expensive A.I.R. Turbo replica. It's just carbon fiber that is not painted. I think it looks much better painted, but of course, I am a little biased.

Miles

Did anybody every look at this car? Was it sorted or was it an early SFR test mule?

I talked to the guy about it, the car currently has the chip, not the Super AFC, so it is not the latest configuration. Also there is no history on the belts or clutch which I would think need to be done and a few other items here and there.

My mechanic has that same rear wing and it's not all carbon. It's mostly fibreglass with a carbon cloth overlay to give it the appearance. It's not light either and certainly in it's unpainted form looks a bit shoddy. We are looking at getting some done in carbon by a local guy in the future.
