well, you can start with the "cars for sale" section here - you can post pics directly into the ad - the pics should be 250k or smaller, but you can insert as many as you like

take lots of pics, have the option info ready - also, any service info

if you end up in places like ebay, a good way to avoid the "tire kickers" and used car dealers, and deal hunters and such, is to set your opening bid at very near the lowest you will accept - some people think this hurts bidding, but in reality, it only stops the stupid bids, and gets on to the real bidding - it also prevents you from having to pay the fee from a low bid if nobody bids - i would also set a reserve, and a buy it now price - the couple of bucks is worth it because it sets a tone that helps the bidding - my other half is the ebay queeen, and i've learned a lot from the hundreds of transactions she's been involved in

I think one of the first choices be http://www.autotrader.com/

I know that is one of the first places I look for used cars, and is where I found my car.

And we request that you come back visit this thread for responses. Posting and requesting an e-mail response defeats the purpose of the bulletin board format. Sharing experience, information and ideas benefits all.

I have found that cars.com and autotrader.com are the two best choices for selling a car. They both give you resources to other websites on the web including print (AutoTrader). I would recommend using both if you really want to sell your car fast. I prefered "cars.com" because the customer support was better.

Cars.com (http://www.cars.com) –

Kelley Blue Book and MSN Autos.

AutoTrader (http://www.autotrader.com) –

AOL, Netscape, Univision, Edmunds, Yahoo! Autos and CompuServe.

I like the sources that have already been listed and I also recently found this one which you may want to consider:

Thank you everyone for your tips. I have placed my 968 on Autotrader and have tried Ebay and still no luck. I just am not receiving response. I have set the price fairly at 17k o.b.o. but have had no inquiries. I guess I will hold out as I have no choice. This car is in excellent shape with only 85k on it, no damage, no problems and all the required maintanance. If anyone knows anyone looking please forward my name.

Thank you!

I too have bought a number of cars through AutoTrader, so agree with all prior posters.

You didn't mention the year of your cab or its equipment, but you are probably scarring a lot of people away at $17K. Unfortunately, our cars continue to depreciate (though it appears that they are plateauing lately). I bought my 93 cab a year ago. The car had 78K miles on it, and had complete records, with no damage history. The car was a driver, so had the usual rock dings in the hood, but everything on the car worked fine.

The guy I bought the car from originally advertised it for $18.5K..........over the course of four months, he gradually lowered his asking price to $16K. I ended up purchasing the car for $13.5K. I did have to replace the top......which would bring the price up to close to $15K.......if you have a new top on your car. My cab is a 93. Obviously, if yours is a 94 or 95, it should bring more.

There seems to be a total disconnect between pricing for the 968 in both Excellence and Panorama as compared to AutoTrader, Cars.com, Ebay, or any of the other web based sales locations, which I don't understand.

Good luck.

Really nice triple black cab if that was yours in the link. Not to spin your thread off topic, but was there a tan interior availbale in a black cab? I have seen this combo in coupes, but not in a cab.
