Where did the edit buttons go?
#1

Am I crazy, or did the quick edit and full edit buttons to edit one's posts disappear?

Bizarre - They don't show up after you post, or even after you nav between two pages of the same topic. I had to navigate to a different topic and go back to that post for the edit button to appear.

Hmmm......

I seem to have lost the 'upload images' section in the reply area as well.

But still have edit buttons. How bizarre... The upload button just reappeared. I think this is my first post since flash reset the groups. Perhaps I was a 'new guy' or whatever and did not have the right to post a pic.

lurkers cannot edit or upload, and newbies cannot upload, so that may be what was going on - once you post the third time, then you get bumped up to rookie, and you get permission - this is a spam control measure - it gives the moderators a chance to week out those who would post junk

when we reset everyone until the next post, you probably got stuck at the lower permission level until your next post

if you think this is not a problem, i welcome you to come over here and sit in front of the computer, instead of me, and sift through the remaining 3000 lurkers, about 2/3 of which are spammers (i've already peeled out about 1000) - i have to delete them one by one

Off topic alert...

My wife runs a web site forum and gets something like 20+ spammers try to get onboard a day. It drives me mad the way she complains.....

Good luck and keep up the good work!

update - i was misinformed - one post will not "restore" you - each post will take you up a level at a time until you hit your appropriate level - so, this is self correcting, but may take 2 or 3 posts to get you back where you belong

No complaints. I very much appreciate the time and effort to upgrade and maintain the site.
