I was going to say...got the house, got the girl, no time for us pikers anymore...

by the way, if I died, my lack of posting here might be a the guidepost to my death... (let's not discuss Flash's eventual demise, when the internet will suddenly speed up...)

Also, I wonder what ever happened to xrad? He was working in a turbo conversion, which went on hold, iirc, because he too was moving, but even so, he was a very regular poster, and a very knowledgeable guy. I also PM'd him about something a few months ago, and got no reply.

Where going to need a new category soon. The "MIA" category.

I was just thinking of sending out the APB myself.

MIA=Pete
I'm always busy with shop projects, gathering parts for shop work and my kids.
My wife travels 3-4 days a week and I run RSB, household and my kids sports, doctors activites.
I also get to review misinformation on RL and chuckle...
Life is good!!!

I hear ya!

My wife works full time (ends up being about 50-60 hours/wk, split between 8-9 hrs normal during the day and assorted hours after work and on weekends), I work part time, and we have two kids- one in day care, the other in 3rd grade.

I can't fathom how some people do it with more kids!

Between doctor's appt (both scheduled and non-scheduled!), after school activities, homework, meals, taking care of a house, and trying to have time for one's self and each other.... !!!!!!! Phew!

I think I'd go nuts trying to run a business on top of all that!

Man, life can be crazy!

Jim,

I could not resist..

Pete has been able to pull some slick ones... This year, the Hankook GRM UTCC was at VIR and coincided with the last few days of his vacation at VaBch, which apparently had been planned about 142 years ago. Well, he had the great idea of surprising the family by leaving VaBch's sun and sand a day early to take a 10 hour detour and ride back to Philadelphia using the Panoramic mountain roads route. But coincidentally, this route happened to take them close to Danville, VA (uhm... err... VIR ). And since they were so close, how can they not stop by, and check on Pablo and the Firehawk?! You should see the pictures of Pete's contingency (in sake of privacy I wont post ) with the not-so-big smiles wearing beach outfits at the paddock garage while Pete troubleshot serious electrical, brakes, and suspension gremlins for 6 hours!

And that my friend, is how they do it!

(PS: Coincidentally, I have not been invited back for drinks and dinner at the Fitzpatrick household... )

lol - cool - good to see you

good deal - somebody sure needs to straighten out the recently posted misinformation about where which cams come from - i talked to pete about it and he just laughed - i think he is going to start a thread about cams here, so as to set the record straight (seems we have to do a lot of that lately), but that doesn't address the misinformation anywhere else (not that there is really anybody reading it anyway)

anyway, hope things are going well at the new house - i know all too well how that can go - remember to breathe

Looks like Fox will have more time here since the illiterate Moderator over on the small minded site edited all of his latest posts making a point of clarification (John Millage does not manufacture their own cams, Michael Mount is not manufacturing the cams for RS Barn) and then decided to ban him. Pretty soon there will only be 2 people over there not banned. How long before they leave another 968 site burnng wreckage? Anyone remember .net or their great friend who started Stuttgart? Both sites out of business!

Do the math:

The "troublemakers" here are the ones who push the design envelope, make products, hold events, have EARNED the respect of the community. 968s are beating the crap out of a lot of cars on the track because of RS Barn/D1R developments. 968s on the street are safer, faster and better handling because of RS Barn/D1R develpments.

The troublemakers over there make nothing but noise, produce nothing, gather no one, and show up at one event a year where they park at the end of the line, drive out seperately and leave early because no one pays attention to them. Their entrance every year sucks the air out of the parking lot.

I have always heard that what you give is what you get. I have created deep and lasting friendships that have been catylized by A CAR! "They" have done nothing but create turmoil and have no one but a few unfortunate misinformed associates who just haven't been screwed, yet.

Add my congratualations and admiration for being banned !

Pete, Bob, can I convince you to work on an NSX?

Jay great post!
You are the master with words....

I can't (will I can) believe they hit you with the ban stick.
Another loss for those guys.
If you mentioned goodyear tires (who are not a sponser) they would not ban you.
I pretty sure rolex is friendly with the two outcasts.
He does not have a 968 and has biased moderating.

I guess it really does not matter as 90% of the posting 968
community is here.

I PM'd the mod so I am sure I will be banned, check that, ignored soon.

Oh well.

Dino- glad you're alive and well!

Pablo- That post made me laugh - a lot! No doubt about it - Pete is a car guy!!!!!

lol - funny how somebody can post a link to a shop that is not an advertiser there, but have nothing said about it, but make a mention of rs barn, this site or anything like that, and you get banned (unless of course it is to slag us or print inaccurate information, lies, and such)

congrats dino - welcome to the club - we're getting jackets made next week

come to think of it, that's not a half bad idea...............

all jokes aside, it sucks that he got banned - until the moderation becomes more even-handed though, the best thing we can all do is just avoid and ignore that section of that site
