lol - i am searching right now for a source for black ones (or would another color be better?)

i think this might actually be cool - the logo for this site on the back, and the logos for the sites we've been banned from, complete with a red "X" over them on the sleeve (like fighter planes have on the side)

It really sucks Dino..
Seems the word shill is not even used correctly.
It's not like you work for Pete.
I was threatened numerous times just for being a
satisfied customer.
I know who was behind it all. Seems people just can't let things go.
All the are really doing is making more traffic here and
helping sales with those they dislike.
We need these guys around..
You know, contorversy and all....
Lol

lol - it's true that the more those clowns type, the more new members and activity we get here - the latest surge has been hard to keep up with - i'm surprised they haven't figured that out - no worries - we're enjoying it

but i kind of like the idea of a club with our "badges of honor"

lol - more people getting banned will sure add to the "whatever happened to?" list - the answer of course is that they are all here - people are figuring it out - other than the dredging up of years old threads, it's pretty much down to the sound of one hand clapping

moving on - sounds like fox is just about moved into his new house and having a ball - i look forward to hearing more about his exploits with his hotrod 968, and less about the nonsense on other sites

I find the bad blood very strange. Here in the Netherlands we have a general Porsche Forum much like rennlist and specialist forums for most many of the other modeldlike 924/944/968 etc. People speak about all the forums on all the forums and, we also mention this one, and no one bats an eyelid.

Just wondering how things got so bad with this forum and RL.

I'm still a member on RL as well, but I am a lurker over there since I find it tough to find my way in there.

it's really not all that bad - but there is an easy answer to your query - it's just sour grapes from a very small cluster of people who cannot make room for others - it dates back years - don't lose any sleep over it

things are great here though - nobody getting banned - nobody getting suspended - nobody being censored - everybody free to constructively criticize and say what they think

now i have to go and look in on the list of new members in the que - we've had over a dozen in the last week

LOL, that would only tie the record on Stuttgart. I believe that Flash said "Nice Site" and BAM! he was banned...

They are no longer in business, poor Bruce drank the kool-aid and got abandoned by his "friends".

Pat,

The house is awesome. i'm loving every minute of it.

The only thing i'm having trouble adjusting to is the slow pace up here Vs NYC. Everyone seems to drive 5-10 under the limit around here. I'm used to going 5-10 over the limit in the nyc metro area. Or just yesterday i was at the gas station grabing a coffee and it took a full 7 minutes for the cashier to ring up two people in front of me. 7 min was already yeterday in the city and in that time frame they would have rung up 15+ people.

Its just a much more relaxed atmosphere out here and spending 29 years in nyc.....i'm not used to it.

Outside of that, the roads are great, the people are all really nice....my neighbors were all very welcoming and i can sleep in peace at night.....all things that were lacking in the City.

And about the shilling......i seriously doubt Rolex has any idea what the defenition of the word shilling is. Perhaps he should open a dictionary.

Dino-

Glad things are going well! The slower pace is nice, trust me!

Enjoy the new house and freshen up on all the house-type things that you now will have to do....

I guess I just don't get it. With a great site like this 100% dedicated to the 968, why would anyone waste their time on Rennlist? The few times I've gone over there, I didn't find anything of value in the itty-bitty corner of that site devoted to the 968. The only thing I can figure is that there may be a few 968 owners who don't know about this site, which seems very strange, indeed...

there are indeed a few who don't know about this site - we have people that reach out to them though to make them aware - some of those who do find out about it, have been so heavily campaigned to by those that would see us fail, that they don't come over here at first - eventually though everybody finds their way here, and usually figures out in a hurry what the real deal is

i think those over there have seen the writing on the wall, and are scared - i can't think of any other reason to dig up years old threads in an attempt to show activity

no worries - all things in time

in the meantime, we are all having a blast, and it's good to see fox back

It goes to show how little those dudes know.
They banned the owner of the fastest N/A 968 in N. America, and possibly the world....
When someone comes up with a cool no RL logo I will put on my homepage
