Wheel angles for 255s all arround
#61
the short answer is "yes" - that's what we've had to do in a number of other cars - the inboard mounting points of the control arms rack were moved upward - the steering rack mounting points were also moved
Yes as in the optimal being horisontal control arms?

How about the rear, simmilar issues lowering there as well?

as i said, it is the "short answer" - it is not the complete answer

neither is this, but it may help:

optimal geometry depends on the suspension, but is the combination of mounting points and component angles that provides for the least amount of geometrical change as the suspension goes through its travel

the front is very different than the rear

you MUST measure the suspensions, and draw them out on paper to determine the optimal geometry, and what points need to move, and by how much, to accommodate any amount of lowering

i'm still trying to find the time to locate the resource materials to show you how to do all of this - it's been 30 years since i learned it in college, and i don't have the engineering books anymore - there is software out there, but it's really expensive

if you have an engineer on hand, he can probably do the math and drawings though

this is where i back out of the conversation again
