Besides one being for manual trans and the other being for tiptronic trans, is anyone aware of technical differences between the two 968 engines? Thanks.

Might've just answered my own question:

Looks like flywheel, radiator, throttle cable and motor mounts are the only differences but it's strange that just those few parts warrant a completely different engine code...
