What a great car
#21

Would you consider having Scarlett and her friends properly displayed on the car for each month. How about another poll? Which females should be used for which months? Lol

Put together a 968 Calender with submitted photos from members and vote. Top 12 make it Into The Calender and we all buy the Calender.

I second that. Hey Flash, there's a moneymaking option for the forum! You probably have an extra five minutes to devote to this!

Yup, great idea. Good cause too - forum fundraising since I assume the cost for these continuing upgrades, new bandwidth, etc does not just magically drop out of the sky right into the owners' backyards. But we get the calendar so huge win-win, IMO.

Scarlett will be in next Vanity Fair's issue I hear, in a few "revealing " photos, so that might take it's honorable spot right next to the 968 calendar.

Great idea. I'll volunter to do the calendar if no one wants to. Publishing/distribution costs are probably cheaper in the good ol' U S of A though. After all, we're talking about profit here and the need to maximize it.

PS and by "submitted" photos I surely hope we are talking about our cars and maybe some scenery?

Dave, take cars out of the gallery and put your selection of accoutrements on for the first batch. Probably quicker and if it works then we can submit ourselves. You could even do 2011 now and start a collection series with a quick production run for 2012. I will take 2 of each. Don't let ds submit. After his daylight thread we should just let him buy!!! Lol ds

Being a Cab owner, I submit that some of the months must feature topless pics.

Could simply be published among members as a PDF...

PDF would work but it then becomes a screen background otherwise you would never look at it? I'm old fashioned, duh. I want to hang a calendar and look at it without electronic intervention; bathroom, shop wall, den etc. There is also value in a physical product. If I donate 20.00 and get a calendar in the mail I'm loaded with anticipation. If I get a PDF as an email I go hohum, but that's just me.

Poor Mr. Gutenberg has suffered enough this decade.

Interesting direction this thread has taken...

I was going to make my own 968 calendar at Staples ($10.99) but if someone wants to make a Forums calendar I would most definitely be interested!

For the past few years I have bought a PORSCHE calendar (in January when they are "half price"!) but none had a 968 picture (the closest was a 944 cab).

If Dave is going to do this, we need to send him "high resolution" pictures, because the pictures posted on the Forums have been "re-sized"...

No electronic crap for me. Must be a glossy paper calendar I can hang up somewhere.

Those are paper - you upload the photos, then order the calendar,...

I was referencing Dave's post re PDF options for a calendar when I said I prefer "paper" ones... Had not yet opened the shurrterfly link see what that was all about at the time..

Shutterfly is intersting but, of course, they want 22.00. I assumes the idea here was to design/print for cost and raise some forum capital. I have calendar software, just need hi-res pics submitted. I think you would have to allow some form of dictatorship here for picture approval or it would never happen for Jan, democracy takes time
