That is one cool picture. I tried hard to find the "best looking color" on a 968 in that mix, but seems that it is not present... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

I was able to play with the car a little bit late Saturday night after the wife and kids went to bed. I worked in the garage moving things around trying to get it less cluttered. I really enjoy the garage with the lift and the heater. I took some pictures of both. I ordered the lift from Greg Smith Equipment several years ago. It's a great piece of equipment. One photo has the information of the company that delivered it and set it up.

I'm not going to do anything with the car until March or April. I need to save up more $$ for tires and add those prior to doing the State Inspection, etc.

Is that a platform on the top?

The lift has optional pieces that fit between the two main rampways. They can be removed so that you can get access to the underside of the car. Or -- you can leave them in there and use the lift as a parking lift. If anything leaks from the vehicles on top, it won't leak all over the stuff underneath. And it's essential if you want to park motorcycles and kids' toys up there. I keep the pieces in there 99% of the time because it's more of a storage tool for me than a working auto mechanic's lift.

I have plastic pieces on mine that are designed to catch drippings. They would not hold any type of weight though. I'll have to go back to bendpak to see if they have them.

Hey TSBeckman, I work just up the road from you in Hunt Valley. If you see a red coupe in the area it's me. I would love to see your car someday. You don't need to get an inspection for your car if you register it with historic plates, cheaper taxes and no inspection/ emission tests.

TSBeckman.... great pic of the new wheels. I had to look twice - I thought it was blue. Not sure who 20 yrs ago ordered the color combo, but enjoy the ride and have fun with it. I have a '92 coupe Amethyst (it's purple!) w/ Amethyst interior (and original 1/2 plaid sport seats). Far cry from the '93 white w/ tan I had 20 years ago - but I love it (interior has grown on me) and feel 20 yrs younger everytime I get to drive it! Enjoy - I'll send you a pic of my interior. DR

To TSBeckman.... My seats grew on me. You will love that Magenta interior one day! Enjoy, DRR968 (PS. Hope these pics came through - just trying to figure this Upload out.)

I've said before I like this color but I hadn't thought about the grow on you. Those seats sure are different but how many people have them? I think that's the cool factor. Sort of like our cars! Makes you feel younger huh. Did you get a 20 year old younger woman to go with that feeling Ponce?

I was planning to get Historic plates, but I didn't realize I could do it without a State inspection. Thanks for the info. That will make my life much easier. We will have to meet up this Spring / Summer.

Finally got the car titled, tagged, and took it out for a drive with some photo ops.
