<acronym title='mass air flow'>MAF</acronym> Grill Broken
#21

No problem! It's just a small thing, but it's one that had been bothering me for a long time. The grill on my car was basically non-existent, and doing this was a good way practice my development skills. And given that the community has helped me so much over the years of owning the car it seemed natural to give something back to the community!

M - have you printed it out? And have you put it on your car? I see it as potentially useful if a swap can be done, but several members have indicated the grill can't be removed on its own.

The model and grill photos clearly show location lugs ..... Do these glue into place as opposed to snapping in/out?

Having asked those questions I would normally head to PET to see if the grill has a part number, but I'm in UK with no laptop .... Waylander???

I have printed it and fit it. I have not driven the car with the grill in, unfortunately (quarantine). The grill is removable, just not easily if I remember correctly. It's a very tight fit, with a rubber gasket on the inside side. It looks like it can't be separated, but it can. There is no part number for it from Porsche, they sell the MAF unit as a whole.

My advice would be to fix the printed part in with some silicon around the edge.

Mine is missing, I have never tried to get it offf, with the cost of a new MAF I left well alone, and Im not on the hunt for every last horse power, so it does not matter to me
