Is that amount of cam teeth wear normal for these cars?

1 - the heat shield is known to make a racket at certain rpms. I have yet to fix mine - after the new clutch and flywheel it now makes an awful sound when passing down throught 2500 rpm. I sound like a 500.00 pickup truck I tend to put the clutch in and coast to stop signs if there are people around.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Where this heat shield rattle is located? I could check mine aswell.... close to engine? Mine rattles from the back, when engine / tranny warms up.. have thought it's a tranny issue.. will be fixing the tranny + motor mounts hopefully in this month to check if it helps.

the rattle dave is talking about is not a heat shield - it's in the transaxle and due to the solid flywheel - nothing to be done at this time - nature of the beast
