V8 968 on ebay
#21

Flash, you are a real JERK..! Face it man, the LS1 makes you uneasy because of all the mods you have done to your car and in one swoop an LS1 kicks your ass! All of you guys can go to HELL! Just kidding, catch your breath.

Yes, I am in a position to buy a new car, probably a Cayman or 996, so take it easy. The car is fun as hell, I just want something new and more refined...period! I have appreciated all the help that I have got from this forum and my car reflects that. I sometimes think that I will revisit the 968 platform in the future, but right now I want something new. And just for the record, I have seen many LS converted cars weighed and ballanced in the shop, it is not an issue. Oh, and sorry about the "cast iron" statement, I thought it was.

Good Luck, (a tribute to Bob)

Andy

Before you sign off please put some of these mysteries to bed. Do you have any numbers for us? 0 -60 top end, dyno sheets anything?

FYI Andy - If it hasn't sold and you feel like bringing it up my way, I'd be happy to serve as an unbiased second opinion for the rest of our 968 community. I think it is my civic duty to the rest.

It looks like a cool car to me. Having been around Corvette C5/C6 race cars, these engines are impressive. Any minor weight shift could be tuned for and the gazillion more horsepower would more than cover any tradeoff. Good luck with the sale. I wish I could buy it.

Andy, I just sold a worked race engine, a totally rebuilt second engine combined with a great little Italian imort set up for the track....I took a hard hit at 27cents on my dollar invested (over three years) eBay or eBust...

Hope you have better luck!
