Does anyone remember/know what older thread had the pic with a silver 968 sporting 18" 996 Carrera lightweights? I have been looking for it with no sucess. If anyone knows it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hey guys, thanks a lot. In that three page thread eezatoy linked to it shows the wheels, photoshopped, but there was a thread that had an actual silver 968 with the 996 18" Carrera lightweight wheels. I was hoping to locate that....any ideas?

the Carrera 3 wheels are about 4 lbs heavier per wheel than the 5 spoke lightweights...this is via bathroom scale, so that's approximate.

That photo was on rennlist...search heritage on the 968 board and you'll find it. Grant also has a small website about it.

I wonder how porsche got the 10" wide rear wheels to only be 2 oz more than the 8" front wheels.

I assume there must be more than one manufacturer of these aftermarket Porsche wheels. Wheel Enhancement tells me there's are by an Italian co. that took over the production from the now defunct Mille Miglia.

I wondered that myself and thought maybe it was a typo or something in the info I was given.
