No need for the trunk wire. The 2 pdf's above don't show it but there is a wire in one of the DME connectors that can be removed from the bundle and spliced into to pop the truck. I ran the wire to the back only disscover another drawing with negated that chore. If you can't find it here I will dig up my old docs and let you know what and where it is.

You have to install a couple of STST or one DPST relay to operate the lights. Here is a snippet from my install doc.

Which wires in the alarm brain harness control the two sets of parking lights?
BK/BR (left turn signal) wire from black connector on alarm computer
GN wire (right turn signal) from black connector on alarm computer

I now have the turn signals working on lock and unlock. Brown wires from the unit to Black/Brown and Green from the Alarm unit (Black connector).

I can make pretend
Attached should be the doucument I used to find the wires for the turn signals. You will have to get and wire 2 single pole single throw (that's what is pictured in the pdf) or one double pole single throw if you can find one. My parts store only had the singles.
You will have to peel off the harness tape to find the 2 wires you need plus 12V and ground. Wire the relays identically just use one replay for left and one for right turn signals. The coil side of the relay is connected to the turn signal control line from the keyless box and the contacts are connected to the actual turn signal wires. I can't remember if the turn signal wires have to brought high (12V) or low (GRD) without removing my floor board to look at my wiring, maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Sorry for "kidnapping" the post. My alarm unit uses ground for trunk (the trunk-lock cable from the unit is grounded for 1s) As I understand the only way to use it is by adding a relay or is there a place where ground cable could be used. The existing switch in the car sends +12v for unlocking the trunk if I understand right?

Sounds about right. Use the ground signal and 12V to close the relay and have the trunk pop line form the harness on the relay contacts to ground or +12. Again, not sure which way the harness is wired as I did this last year. I will have my floor boards off in the fall/winter to change out the chip for the SC chip so I can take pictures of my 3 repays and their wiring then but for now we have to reply on my 51 year old memory. Thanks i think i got it- does the socket for the relay make it easier to do? do the bare wires just lock in or do you need to add connectors. Thank again, brett

The socket is nice if you can use it because it allows for removal of the relays if you need to troubleshoot at a later date. You will need female spade crimps for the connections to the relays. I did hardwire the power to my setup as I needed 3 relays - trunk, left and right turn signals so it made sense to solder those inter-connects between sockets and have only one removable 12V and Gnd wire.

I actually only used on relay for my light flashing, I seem to recall tying into the parking lights so I didn't have to have multiple relays to control the turn signals. It's been a while though.
