PCA Annual Picnic and Concours (06.27.10)
#1

So the Porsche Club of America (HCP Chapter) is having their Annual picnic and concours at John Boyd Thacher State Park in Voorheesville, NY on June.27th (Sunday).

I was also planning on a get 2 gether at my place which is in Slingerlands, NY (1 town over/about 3 miles away). A few people have shown interest. So this is essentially a feeler thread to see how many people would be interested and who would be able to make it.

The day would consist of meeting at the Picnic/Concours late morning, then a heading back to my place for some BBQ, Wine, Beer, etc. The Concours is usually between the hours of 11am-4pm. So i'm guessing we could all hang out there for a couple of hours, and then go back to my place. We could have a fun run (route TBD) before or after heading back to my place. My Pool will be open, so if anyone would like to jump in...make sure you bring your bathing suits.

I also have a game room with a dart board, pool table & chess table if anyone is interested in hanging out downstairs.

If any of this interests you, please post here so i could get a head count. If you have any ideas in regards to a fun drive or chain of events...by all means...post em up. I have enough room in my driveway to fit 7 cars in addition to my 3. If more then 7 parties are interested, i can always pull my 2 daily drivers out of the driveway and onto the street to make room for a couple more Porsche's.

Dino,

I will check with the Boss to see if this is possible and will try to make it.

I'd love to do this, but I expect to be trailering my car back from the Robin Hood Rally event in Pennsylvania (specifics currently unknown) that runs on Friday and Saturday, June 25-26.

Hoping this comes together for you, though, and I'm sure a great time will be had by all...but I really think you should pre-plan that ONLY 968s ARE WELCOME. You don't want to get stuck with any of those predecessor interlopers.

I will definitely say a word to Andy about this!! I would love to come! I'm right in the middle of 968 gathering withdrawal so this would be perfect

Hmm- this is less than 2 hours from my inlaws (Utica, NY).

Gotta discuss this with the better half. Maybe a family trip to see the inlaws, then I detour to Dino's on the way back.

Sounds awesome. Lots of interest. So this should be fun. I will set up a fun run (and post the route) we can go on before or after the concours.
