Here's the latest gremlin;

Whilst accelerating under high power, the car pulls to the left. If you ease off, it pulls back to the right.

Any ideas?

Everything Flash said plus the following. I had a Honda S 2000 once that did the same thing when I purchased it. The previous owner had replaced one rear tire with correct size and profile but different brand. Matching the tires cured the symptom.

if you are lucky to have the 92 option 220 DISC LSD,it is almost certain that the discs are worn ,as the discs springs are staggered one side to give 40% slip

,when you accelerate the rear twiches to one side.Perhaps this is the problem?
