Tool Kit
#1

hello, does anyone who brought their Porsche new know where the tool kit is suppose to be in the hatch area? Mine was just laying in the back but it seems like Porsche would have had it located some where in particular and probably was straped down or held in place some how. I have never seen how it should look on delivery as I brought my car used. Thanks guys

Under the spare? But you need a tool to loosen the retaining bolt on the spare wheel, and that tool is in the tool bag, so I find it highly unlikely that this is the correct place for the toolbag.

Not that I know of any better place

I have my toolbag squeezed in the spare wheel well, with an emergency triangle and some spares parts padded with towels. This keeps everything quiet and I have something to lay down before I have to work on the car next to the road Of course this hasn't happened yet, but better to be prepared I always say.

Not really under the spare, more on top of it sitting low in the well.

mine lived under the spare with the jack - the retaining nut was hand tight - on page 83 of the owner's manual it shows it above the hump that centers the spare

Interesting...I'll give that a try. I hate rattles in the back of the car, and I am still searching for the best spot. maybe the factory does know best

Thanks so much to all that replied. I saw where it goes under the spare tire but it doesn't make to much sense as you need the tool in it to undo the spare.

lol - yeah - i had that very thought myself - i also have a t-handle type retainer bolt around here somewhere that resolved that issue, though i don't keep the spare in the car anymore - heck, i don't keep the tools there anymore either
