Timing Belt

Travis at Rennbay is saying if they go ahead with the Kevlar timing belt for the 968 to start looking for it in June 2010.
They've had it for the 944 for some time now, but he is waiting to see if there is going to be enough of a market for it.

yeah - when i talked to him he was all for it, just looking to cover his nut - this will be great

the thing is that what we need is the balance belt, more than the timing belt - that's the one that goes wonky

Maybe I am just ignorant, but I thought 968 have the same belts as the 944.

Nope....all the 16v cars use a wider belt to support the added valve-train they must move.
