Thinking about carpet
#1

It's time to spiff the ride up a bit. Think I should just change the carpet out. Don't need the best German stuff, just a descent grade that will actually fit and has all the pieces. Since I'm thinking about changing from cashmere to black I need them all including the two pieces of carpet on the back of the back seats. Has anyone bought a kit that fits this bill?

The whole carpet or the four carpet mats ? If the latter, Lloyd's mats make perfectly custom-cut high quality pieces for our car and can be ordered from various suppliers, just search for Lloyd's auto mats and various suppliers will come up. You can have Porsche, or 968 or anything else embroidered on those as well. But if you're talking about the entire carpet... No idea.

If it's not all ripped up and nasty, just dye it. I changed the light gray faded to almost lavender mess of carpet in the 6sp Coupe to classic gray and it looks fantastic. The fibers get a little stiffer but over time, they soften up.

Might be what I have to do. Cashmere does not dye well. Did that several years ago. Not sure I can take it all black and keep it that way without it fading.

You might want to try appbiz.com. I got my rear seat delete carpets from them at a reasonable price but they offer full carpet replacements for Porsche.
