I hope i'm not the only one to fight this thing!!!!!!!! It took a good hour

to get that stupid little thing out, I finally fabed up a mini seal puller and wahla out it came.



Just curious does this part need to be changed every time you change the thermostat?

Most of the time you wont be able to get the thermostat back in the water pump with the new seal on. If you can get it in there, its not going to be straight. If you use the old one it goes in like butter. Its one of the many parts that were over-engineered when porsche designed the cars.
