The Australian Circus has come to town
#1

Well, howdy ya all,

The Australian Motorsport circus (a lot like NASCAR) is rolling into the good ol' USA this weekend. I doubt it will be getting any converts, but for what it is worth, the V8Supercars (a marketing persons wet dream of a title) will be racing in Austin Texas (the F1 track).

Being so wide, the racing is pretty boring as it becomes a bit procession like. It is much better when they are a bit like NASCAR - rubb'n is racing.

Anyway, gives you something different to watch over the weekend.

I've watched a couple of V8 Supercar races on TV here in the States. I didn't see the race in Austin but maybe I can catch a rebroadcast. I think you are correct however in that it wouldn't be as exciting on a wide track. The Australian races I've watched are entertaining.

The V8 races from Australia are definitely tons of fun. The Austin track may be a bit wider but I still think it'll be sufficiently entertaining. Laguina Seca would be a crazy track for that race..would have loved to see it there instead of Austin
