Planning a bit of a road trip and I want to minimize or hopefully eliminate rock chips. I have a 1980's vinyl bra, but have found that on longer trips I get a lot of rubbing which is almost as bad as the rock chips. I've seen here that painter's tape can minimize that, but the sand and grit tends to settle into the trailing edge of the bra creating a nice opportunity for a sandpaper party.
Has anyone used these temp bras? Basically thick plastic sheets with a water-based adhesive that you can peel off.
Here is a link to one such product. No affiliation, just asking for opinions
http://buyroadwrap.com/
There are also liquid products that frankly look like a mess to get off.
Alternatively I can see just taping the front end with a 3 layers of blue tape - looks wack but would probably do the job. And what do folks use to remove the adhesive from painter's tape when you peel it off?
Eventually I am going for a proper clear bra, but I need something short term.
Opinions and experience welcome.
Thanks
Joe
