Within the last two weeks I have talked to two people that their sons have 968's. Being a teenager it hard to find some people around your age group that share the same interests. So, is there any teenagers that have a 968 that are on this forum? If so tell me where your located and maybe we can meet up and go to an autox or d.e.

Back in those years the 911 was only real porsche to me, but now the front engined N/A's & turbos feel quite close to it. Not the classy look of 911 maybe, but the response of the car is something that porsche can only provide!

There is something to be said for associating with ones in your own age group. The odds of having things in common are much greater and the activities that ones take part in are often separated by generations. I've noticed even amongst car groups that they are all roughly the same age group.



That being said, I think you will probably find a lot good advice and even make some great friends should you venture down to a DE. Porsche owners young and old seem to have a passion that they just want to share. Recently I had a call on my coupe from an interested buyer. He was a PCA member and a instructor. After exchanging a few emails the conversation led to me looking forward to working with him this summer. He sounds much older then me but in this case I count it as a plus.

smokie - funny stuff - man, what a difference though in the M3 with the wood versus the aluminum - very nice look - by the way, it's still the highest cost upgrade material, and yes, at the risk of incurring the wrath of the green folks, it's real wood - most upper end cars offer it as the ultimate upgrade in luxury and style - i like it in the denali and the M3, but not in the 968 - ah choices

I fell in love with Porsche's at age 9 when I saw my first 911 Targa...it was the car that I always wanted but was always out of reach with the "practicalities of life".



Good fortune smiled on me and I got my opportunity to purchase my 968 (my first Porsche) for my 38th birthday...It'll be 8 years ago next month...



I wish I could have been a teen Porsche owner, but somehow the wait made the reality sweeter.

No Porsches but I was a teenage Maserati driver ( bought a used Merak when I was 18 ). Sounds even more impressive / exotic than having a Porsche when you're a teen, but really wasn't... trust me on this;

beautiful car, piece of crap otherwise. So I envy those of you still in in their teens at the wheel of 968s ! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



Anyway, I finally became enlightened in 1985 an bought my frst P-car ( 944 ). Happy with Porsches ever after <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

My first exposure to Porsches (when I first took notice) was when I played Need For Speedorsche Unleashed back in 2000. I was 18 back then, now I'm 26 (Makes me feel old just saying that X_x). Heh, I had a quarter life crisis because I felt like if I didn't get a Porsche soon, I wouldn't (for some reason) be able to enjoy my youth fully. I was obsessed with the 911 turbo, then I drifted to wanting a 944 turbo a few years later, and somehow settled on needing to get a 968. Had I known what I was truly getting myself into I would have waited a bit longer maybe; many a paycheque has been devoured by my hungry beast. So its a good thing I never got myself into these cars earlier than I did <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

23 here... Very active in the NNJR region DE program. Still working through school and trying to afford DE isn't the easiest thing I've ever done, lol.

First car memory was the old man's 356 when I was but a sprout. First car (when I was a teenager and it wasn't just in my mind) was a 911SC that I dearly loved. I knew of no others my age with a car like that. It went to college with me and hooked me for life.
