David,
These are impressive cars and can certainly wear the Porsche crest with pride. Not everyone at the track is clueless. A year ago, before my 968 purchase, I was talking with the head instructor with the local BMW club at the fall DE, and after confessing interest in a 968, he exclaimed without hesitation "If you can find one, BUY IT!". I did search a while, but don't regret buying it for the street and track.
I just installed my M030 bars and can't wait for the DE at the end of the month. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

So how hard is it to install M030 bars on a 93 without them? $$$$ price?

I changed swaybars using ramps (the black Rhino Ramps). Suspension can be loaded and makes me less nervous than a car on jack stands.
Hardest part is sliding the rubber bushings on, need to be lubed a bit.
Also, if you put them on... I am a big fan of the KLA braces that help locate the front swaybar supports. Cheap, effective, and easy.
I think you gotta pay about $500 for a set of bars. They are readily available new, but not particularly cheap.
That said, it is a great inexpensive and simple way to make a substantial change in suspension. I recommend starting the rear bar in the middle position, leaving room for an adjustment later.
You will end up putting it on full tight unless you spend a lot of time on slippery surfaces <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Since I just changed mine, it is fresh in my mind. It was not an unpleasant task and very doable by anyone with modest mechanical ability (I did it). I used what I had, Jack and stands. I took off the tires and it helps access a little and I changed the front brake pads too. It took about 4 hours total, but that's working slowly with interruptions (Harvey stopped by with this 968 and 928, beer break, lunch etc.). Getting the bushings on and in place is hard, but soapy water worked. The difference with the car is very noticable and you'll wonder why you waited so long to do it. I have the KLA braces too.
I purchased from Sunset and I was in Portland to try to pick them up over Labor Day Weekend, but they closed on Saturday for the long weekend and did not tell me when I called to put the order together ahead of time. Because of this, I had them shipped and they gave me a discount - about $400 total for the package - but would have been about $450 otherwise. I stayed with the rubber bushes for now.
Cheers, Stephen
