Tarret rod ends made of cheese?
#1

After "only" about 2000 miles the rod ends for my rear Tarett sway are shot. The front ones are still good, most likely since they are beefier but maybe also because they like power steering fluid... Judging by the look and feel the rod ends are el cheapo de luxe items (strange considering the price of the sways) so I'm guessing that basically any replacement will be superior. Can anyone point me towards a good source of rod ends?

I have talked to Ira at Tarett and he'll send me new and better rod ends without charge. I didn't even ask for it, I simply wanted to know what sizes to get for my replacements, but he said he wanted me to be happy about my choice of swaybars. Now isn't that great service or what!?!

Seeing a trend here, I wore out the bushings in my tarett drop links in one season, about 30 track days.

yup - billet aluminum rod ends suck. i've gone through a bunch of them over the years. people use them to try to avoid rust, but they just don't hold up.

solid steel baby!
