Help! No oil pressure, oil light on.
#1

New sender, oprv cleaned, new pick up tube, new rod bearings, cleaned oil pump. Compressed air to dip stick, oil in the filter holes, up the oprv, crank bolt to 155ft/lb. What else can I try?

Thank you

Fill the oil at the filter housing , and turn the engine anti clock wise by hand  , that way the oil wil prime the pump .do it a couple of times , use the correct hole !

Then rotate the engine with the starter motor but without the oil filter installed ,and sparkplugs removed  , oil should pour out .(2 person job)

Stop , install filter , and start it up , should build pressure now , and clean up the mess .

If no luck , start checking your work .

Was there oilpressure before you did all the work ?

Olaf, thank you. It did have oil pressure but it went to 1 then zero and the light went on, so i stop driving it. I thought it was the oil ump going bad. I took the oil pump out and i can spin it with my fingers. I'll follow your procedure. which is the "correct hole"?

Yes, Olaf, while driving the pressure went down, out of nowhere. The oil idiot light was flickering, and I initially thought because i might be below oil level and it was a twisty road. Checked the oil level-good. Few days after the oil light came back and the pressure went to zero. The pick up tube was replaced about 1 year before this happening. Bearings changed while trying to fix this issue.
