My CD player is not working. It started over 1 year ago on a
cold morning in the 30's on a yosemite trip.

When the temps rose it worked fine. Now it just spits out the
CD. I want to fix the alpine I have, and not upgrade.

Any shop suggestions?

car stereo repair has pretty much become a thing of the past - now that decks are so inexpensive and become outdated so quickly, the shops have found that people don't want to pay to fix something they can replace for the same amount - that wave began way back when i was a part owner of a car stereo place back in the 80s

i'll poke around though and see what i can come up with - there is a shop in L.A. that i have used before, but i don't know if they do car stuff - i'll call my local install shop too - they might know somebody

if you do find somebody, you can be sure it will cost over $100 to have somebody fix it

there is a possibility that the lens is dirty - you can try taking it apart and cleaning it
