Steinel's in Cleveland, Ohio area
#1

My recently purchased 968 just spent a few days at Steinels in Twinsburg, Ohio. I have to say that the difference in the car is amazing in terms of performance and how smooth it is running. My 968 has 86K miles. I think the car was extremely well cared for by the prior owners but some service was not performed.

I think the proof of their quality of service is the number of cars in their service area on a daily basis

My car is sitting at Steinel's right now after small but worsening coolant overflows when car is hot. Gauge held at 8 o clock, but every stop resulted in overflow from reservoir. Only steam from bleeder screw yesterday following instant overheat, pegged gauge, but nearly full reservoir. Could this be WP going out? Hope not disastrous news from shop this week while i make plans to trailer car back next wkend. Oil pressure fine, but could a brief overheat like this seize the engine?

On plus side, 25 MPG until fail... :0)

They are the best. They have worked on my porsches: 993, 911, 944s2 and at least 3 968s. I don't think I ever had to return for something that wasn't fixed right the first time. Some of this work has been extensive. Including converting putting M030 set up on my S2 and track support for over 6 years. Recently updated my ''77 911 which we immediately took on 2000 mile trip to Parade. Expensive but worth every penny.

Sure would like to find a comparable skilled shop in southwest to work on my Las Vegas based 968. Open to suggestions.

I'm very happy with Stuttgart SW in Tempe, AZ. Jack is the owner and long time friend, Cliff, his 944/968 specialist can fix anything.

This should be a new topic...you start one and I'll delete this.

Was just replying to "eats911"s question. I think this thread already exists elsewhere so would defer further discussion on recommended shops to that thread.
