They have been in my area for a long time and do alot of tops. I have not used them but It might be worth a visit to get an estimate. They do repair as well.

just for reference:

the original top was made by Robbins - they still make the top for this car - all others are replicas

the original canvas is Sonnenland German Weave (not Sonnendeck)

replacement cost should be about $1200-$1500 all in (R&R time is about 12 hrs)

I had my top replaced about two years ago by someone in the Gladstone/Peapack area. A real craftsman, does a lot of restoration work for The Stable, Ltd. I believe he's now co-located with them. His name is Pete Maximillian, 1-973-425-1300. He probably hasn't done many 968s so if you tell him I sent you (black 968), he'll likely remember. IIRC, it was about $2,100 for the complete job, including some boot repair. Apparently Flash will do it for less, so if you can get him...

lol - not hardly - i won't even be doing my own - those are the prices from a number of shops i've contacted

none of that includes any cable replacement, bow service or boot repair - that's just to purchase and R&R and adjust the top

thanks anchorman. I spoke with Peter today, seems like a good guy. He remembers a 968 with a roll bar, if that was yours
