SoCal guys shaking again ?
#1

5.6 quakes are slightly over the "wimpy" category even for us Californians, so all of you folks down there ok ? No broken glassware or anything from the garage shelves fell on the 968 ?

I'm fine. No damage. I was laying on my bed enjoying my Sunday morning and it felt like it almost threw me off.

Just a little rolling down here. Got the heart pumping for a few minutes though. You are always waiting for that big WHAM that usually follows the slow rolling start. Thankfully the WHAM was absent. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mellow.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I may be the closest to the epicenter, as I live in Palm Springs, about 20 miles.

It was a good one, but not anywhere near as dramatic as the ones here in 92 and 86.

2 books fell off shelves, and a measuring cup fell off an outside shelf.

No biggee.

Thanks for the concern!

and a 7.0 magnitude ocean quake ( YIKES ! ) just registered an hour ago

barely 30 miles off the north coast of California trigering all TV channels to post

a tsunami alert for San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties coastal communities !!

Hmmm, if they get flooded, can Marin County we expect aid from Indonesia and other countries ? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

p.s. I believe the median price of a house in Marin county ( and this is for the entire county, so you can imagine the nicer areas' prices..) is above $ 975,000

nowadays.. I could be wrong, but it's way up there anyway.. ergo the sarcasm about aid from foreign countries..

Kinda reminds me of a song.... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an

aeroplane ..........

It's the end of the world as we know it.

It's the end of the world as we know it.

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
