interesting - they tried this a few years back - couldn't get past nader - it will be interesting to see what they have come up with

i'm not a huge mg fan by nature - it was really the platform that got me going - very small, very light, and an easy suspension to play with - brakes were good too - it was pretty simple to end up with a car less than 1900lbs, with 165hp, and a rock solid suspension - if i could have satisfactorily fitted AC to it, i would still have it - i was just about to drop in a supercharged 2 liter motor with 240hp when i got rid of it - fun car

I had a 73 MGB, wow I had a blast with that car. I have often thought of finding another. One of those I should have kept that car stories. I had some fun tinkering with inline 4 with dual webers, Fun stuff. Light, handled well for the year, but a little under powered.

yeah - we got that underpowered problem handled - ended up with a better hp/weight ratio than this car, even in street trim - fun stuff

Funny... I first thought the thread read "Flash (Bob) is making MGs again" -- thinking that's his next project. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
