several manufacturers are planning to come out with 800 , 900 and 1,000 hp stock cars in the next couple of years... ( mbz, cadillac , etc.. ) and at a fraction of the cost of the Bugatti. And I know beauty is subjective but IMHO, this is one of the butt-ugliest designs I have seen recently...

As for so many ponies, the power is typically far beyond the capabilities of 99% of the drivers out there who will probably wrap the car around the first telephone pole soon after leaving the dealer's lot there should be a mandatory and extensive DE course followed by a test ( a psychological profile would help also.. ) before allowing someone to get behind the wheel of a....deadly weapon.

keep in mind, this statement coming from someone who goes over the 150 mph mark at least a couple of times a week on commute freeways ! I would have

serious concerns driving a 1000hp car myself, much less my 73 year old neighbor who just happens to have a net worth of $ 50 million burning a hole in his pocket and thinks the Bugatti is just what he was missing in his life.

ok, ok, enough ranting - I'm just envious I'll never afford 1000 horses

but I still think that car is FUGLY !

Fact: If you drive the Veyron at it's top speed (252 MPH), you will run ouf of fuel in 12 minutes.

In 12 minutes at that speed you cover a distance of about 50 miles, heh. I guess if you really need to get somewhere quickly, it's the way to go!
