How many veterans/active military on this site?
#1

Since tomorrow is Armed Forces day, I thought it might be interesting to see how many 968 owners had served in the Armed Forces. I will start out:

- Redbaron: Served in the USAF Security Service from August 1958 to June 1967 (discharged as SSGT) in Bremerhaven, Germany as a Morse Intercept Operator and later with 6th Weather Squadron Mobile as a Weather Equipment Technician at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.

Military brat since birth in '57. Very proud son of a West Point grad who went on to be a fighter pilot, USAF Thunderbird, diplomat and educator.

At times while growing up it felt like I was serving, too. Now I can look back and recognize the great fortune I had to live in a community dedicated to service and willing to sacrifice.

Thanks to redbaron and all the other vets and active military.

I was a Colonel in the sexual revolution <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> .

Seriously, I serve the country by supporting governement facilities design for DoD, DOS and the IC community.

Proud to be an American, and thankful for the service of our brave men and women.

I served 20+ years in the US Air Force. Many different areas in the States / Sembach, W, Germany 62 - 65 / Naha, Okinawa / Flew in Combat in Vietnam 66 - 67 C7A / South Ruslip, England / Rimini, Italy / Retired from USAF in 1978. I would not change a thing. My many Thank You's to all our men and women who have so proudly served our country and continue to do so. My thoughts and prayers are with all that are facing harms way every day.

Cheers,
