My RSbarn header and chip showed up last week and I managed to get time to deal with it them on Sunday. Installation of the header was quite simple and it fit nicely in the 924S frame. Pete sent some adapters and I managed to splice it into my track exhaust etup. The exhaust (post header) really needs to be redone, but this will certainly get me through my next track day on the 9th.
I didn't get done in time on Sunday to try out the mod; it was dark when I finished and I've got no lights. I managed to get home at a decent hour tonight so I went out for a quick run on the back road that I live on. My first impression was that there was increased umphhhh, but I'm also leary of the placebo effect so I'll wait until I get it on the dyno on Saturday.
With respect to another thread, I did not experience any lag whatsoever, in fact, it felt like the car spooled up more quickly.
I won't comment on sound since my exhaust system is nothing like Pete puts together.
All in all, I think that I'm pleased with the mod; I'll report back after the dyno and track day when I have more information.
Oh yea, when I pulled my DME I found a Weltmeister chip inside :blink I bought the brain on ebay and the seller told me it was stock. I never took it apart to look inside until Sunday.
