Are you sure it is not working? The power assist is not that much anyway and now with a smaller diameter wheel the steering will require more force than with the slightly larger standaard steering wheel.

yup - other than that, they have nothing to do with each other, unless there is physical interference at the steering wheel hub, which would cause increased resistance at the wheel

Nuts, how I tested it is if I can turn the wheel while at a stand still. Is the the best way? Even though when going slow and it is much stiffer. Thanks for any info and for help so far

i think we need more information. exactly what changed? did you try turning the wheel with the engine off but the key released, and then compare to engine running?

FWIW When I went from a 380 mm wheel to a 330 mm Momo wheel there was really no difference in feel with the steering, car running of course <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

I tried it with car turned off and to my suprise the wheel turns. Before the wheel would luck until the motor on. The work I had done is radio installed, new ignition switch, replace clamp on p/s reservior return line. It is weird because some times it seems to work, next time under 30 miles per hour it is hard? Any help, were to look? Thanks for advice
