Well, there is a thread discussing the forum handoff to new management. But I thought it might be interesting to show support for the forum among those of us who support it's continuation. I know this sounds a little sophomoric, but perhaps the handoff probability can be increased just a bit. (I put this topic in "968 Parts Wanted" because the forum is a wanted 968 part, and there are a whole bunch of categories that I can't start a new topic).
So, I'll start. The 911 I bought has fantastic handling. But I never pursued the handling improvements on the 968, except...... I got yellow Koni's installed. The car was in for something else, and I had felt the suspension was too soft, and decided on new shocks: "hey yeah, people put in those yellow Konis. I should do that! It will fix everything and it will be cool!". I was so wrong, sure it firmed up the ride, but didn't create a car that has that really stick-to-the-ground driving experience. So I am going to fix some things on the 968, it will remain a daily driver choice, and though about doing something more with the suspension, searched for Flash's notes here on the forum since he put in a lot of work on a good suspension design:

Along with many other great topics in:

This is the kind of stuff I would not like to loose!
So I support continuation of the forum .... for many reasons.....so please join in and write your message of support for the new team who will take over running the forum!!!

Or, in chemistry-based society, if you're not part of the solution you're part of the precipitate.
There a group looking into this - I have offered to participate - but I haven't heard much in the last week or more.
I agree that a step forward is needed soon .

I just can't believe how much this is taking. Somebody step up and write a check...Flash bought this site on a single phone call, and a second call to Pete and I made it a partnership.
Take out a pen and send a check to Flash, worry about fractions later. I don't want this site to go away any more than most of you, but seeing how this is going, there is no way I'm sticking my neck out on the other 70%.
If you want it, buy it...everything else is just jibber jabber.

Bob. Before the site close? first off all thank you very much for the time and endless energy you have put in. I still remember that the other site jammed where we in constant conversation with gildersleeve. After the jam. I had difficulties of entering this site because, sandovall i remember ran out of time to serve and maintain it well.
You have done an excellent job. Thanks in advance. And if you come to the mainland in europe. Remember that you are welcome in holland so we can drink beer and have a bbq. That invitation stands as a personal thank you.
I was always a pleasure to read and write in the topics since 2007....
It feels like a divorce.... thinking that this domain will be free again in the nearby future.
But I liked the time I stayed on this forum. It is the only forum that I visited so long.
Bob thanks!

Dan,
I'm closer to the end of the runway than many of you probably realize. I'd like some new blood, and I'll part with my shares, now or in the future, as a convenience.
Some of the folks in conversation now just need to pull the ripcord and divvy the pieces later. That's the best way to assure continuous operation.
Step up, write a check, and I won't complain about diluted shares later.

Speaking as a forum member from across the pond, I found this forum to be a goldmine of info when I first purchased my car some 8 years ago. Great shame if it disappears, but if it does fold, I can vouch for the UK forum at 968uk.co.uk. Both forums have helped me a great deal in keeping my car on the road, and she's recently clicked over 200,000 miles too!
