i have been using the double adjustable hydraulic konis for a few years now. i love them. i am not a fan of gas though. not sure if the ones paragon is selling are the gas ones or the hydraulic ones, as they don't show the part number.
as for paragon, while i have had a reasonable experience with them, i have gotten an awful lot of incomplete or incorrect orders, which had to then be straightened out. they always took care of it, with no questions or anything, but it took extra time. not the end of the world, but if you're in a time crunch, this can mess you up. their prices are average, and generally consistent, which is a good thing when it comes to a vendor, and that makes a big difference in making a choice. i'd like to see a little more interaction from them with the group, but i also understand how busy things can get.
Flash I believe Jason only carries/sells the hydraulic version, at least that's all I've ever received from him. Didn't know there was a gas version, but I'd agree with you to stay away from them; gas struts tend to fade noticeably with the heat of track sessions.
Jason hasn't really participated on any of the forums as far as I know. I've never seen him or Paragon in general post on R.L. or 6speed and certainly not Pelican. He's always seemed to rely on decent/great customer service and word of mouth to keep things going. As you said, they're always very busy so his approach seems to work well.
Cheers
