Rocky Mountain High in Colorado
#21

Yeah I am in I will take care of that today. I don't think I will do the rafting though. Maybe a good day for us to see the area.

Fantastic! Eric - if you want suggestions on what to check out in the area when we're rafting, I'd be happy to give you my thoughts.

We just may take you up on that. I will be doing the drive solo Nicole will be driving the Denali up later in the afternoon. She is taking a half day at work. (We will have extra seats if anyone else wants to site see. She hates to do the drives as a passenger (Car sickness... or Controling woman take your pick) anyway she does not sit well as a passenger on a spirited run. I have always gone solo on driving events, which I don't mindSmile. We will be doing the overnight stays both nights. I did the map quest and it was too far to commute. Plus it will be fun to hang out and socialize!

Just a few weeks to go until our 4th annual high altitude shindig.

Driving tour, rafting, car show over 3 days. Should be fun. Good registration so far, but you'd better register now if you haven't yet, and plan to come. We're about at our limits for the hotels.

Details are at:

http://www.rmrporscheclub.com/staticpages/...ckymtnhigh.aspx

E-mail me with any questions. We'd love to see you there.

968s are the featured model, but all Porsche models are welcome.

Looks like the El Colorado is SOLD out... I just booked the last room... I had no idea they only had 32 rooms. The Ridge lodge still had room but doubles.

Thanks, Flash. We did our final dry run of the route this past weekend, and can't wait to do it with a nice line of Porsches. We really enjoy putting on this event every year, and then tweaking it to make it a bit different every time. The Arkansas River is running nicely. It was around 95 degrees when we were in the area this past weekend...wanted to jump in.

Still time for anyone who hasn't signed up to do so! For those who have signed up, I'll be sending out more details within the next week.

I'd love to come to this event, particularly since I think this part of Colorado is one of the prettiest spots in the country. But it's just too far for me to make the trip.

Hope you can get out some other time. I understand the distance factor - often an issue for us as well.
