Jeff,
I was not aware that Rubystone Red was a solid color; based on my recollection of the 964 RS, I thought that it was a metallic color. Thanks for pointing that out--it's always great to learn something new about the cars that I love.
Man, you shouldn't have posted a picture of that Ruby 968 Coupe... Now I am going to have visions of it dancing around in my head, and, before you know it, I will take either the black or amazon coupe to the paint shop with orders to paint her ruby! (To make the election process easier, I could just flip a coin. ) I have run the idea of painting one of my cars Ruby by several people in the past, and they thought I was crazy. They said that it looks too pink, too feminine. I have to admit that the color does look a bit on the feminine side, but there is just something about it! It's so infectious! In regards to the color being too feminine, considering that I have a 1989 Velvet Red Metallic 951, in the final analysis, I don't suppose that Rubystone Red would be that big of a stretch for me after all... At least I'll still have a car painted in that quintessentially "manly" color--Guards Red.
FR,
It will be interesting to see which of us breaks down and paints his car Ruby first! If both of us do it, we would HAVE TO park them next to each other at an event (or two).
