Are these one-off brake cooling ducts?

visible on this super sweet sounding 968.

Are they one offs? available anywhere through a retailer? are they race-car specific only due to the clearance issues with the headlight buckets?

i need to know! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Here you go, some better pics of that cars front end. It was recently for sale on Ebay.

Many 968's have those cooling ducts. You can prolly get some from Pete @ RS Barn. He has a set on his Turbo RS.

I've seen that video before, but can't remember if the poster was on this forum, or one of the other ones.

Mine are 993 cooling ducts. For now the left one feeds air to the air intake, the right hand side has ducting on the rear that does not connect to anything, ultimately it will go to the air intake. Have bigreds that have never required additional cooling (SRF fluid, goodridge hoses, Pagid Orange pads)

For brake ducting, it is very difficult to find a route through to the inside of the left hand side (your passenger side) of the wheel well from the front - there is a small gap 3-4" diameter below the headlight assembly console (the large 'bowl' that holds the pop-up light assembly) between the power steering cooler tubes and the frontal bodywork - but - once place in-situ there is only a c2" gap between the rear of the duct and front of console to place and bend your ducting. The position (left to right) of the duct is approx 3-4" off from the potential gap where you need to feed ducting through - so very difficult to flex ducting, but can be done - just. (as myself and pazzer have investigated for his car)

The duct routing is much easier without the headlight buckets and power steering cooler loop. But I guess that doesn't help most people.

If you buy 993 ones, is it a lot of work to get them to work in a 968?
