Grussgott Joska! Good to hear that you are alive, well and still interested in the 968. Good luck with your search for a replacement, the prices sure have dropped in the last few years. Bob Blackwell.

Joska,

I checked the 968 Register list and found two; Rob Dillon in Grafenwoehr and Thomas Rodehaver in Wiesbaden. If you need more info, let me know at dhassenbein@comcast.net

Sorry to hear you sold your CS. Hey, with all these promotions, it sounds like you are a Kandidat for a 968 Turbo S or Turbo RS (I believe there is still one RS and a bunch of S's in Germany). <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I remember Joska's CS. Amazon green, right? Cool car.

Hey. I am still missing a few of you.

Actually I am looking long term for a RS. No original. I have still access to original parts if needed. Does someone know a quality conversion to buy? A 8 valve conversion with everything with further potential for a 16 V upgrade (450hp would be nice later).

TÜV in Germany will be screeming but there will be a way to get it street legal. If I could get a CS street legal in the US, why not getting a RS conversion legal in Germany?

Out of curiosity did Ray own a Oak Green Cab?. Just wondering because in the process of tracking down the history of my car, his name came up as a possible former owner. There was also an owner of my car in Maryland, and I think I have confirmed that they used to post here, and their "fix" for the cabriolet top electric issues was not a fix at all.

It is really strange to read what someone did to "fix" a problem, go out to the driveway, pop the trunk, and see that your car was "fixed" in exactly the same way.

But I am curious about Ray's previous ride, because I think he was the owner before the one I bought mine from on a consignment sight unseen.

Greg,

Ray, to to best of my knowledge, never owned a Oak Green Cabriolet.

There are 2 Oak Green Metallic Coupe owners (VA and DC) in the 968 Register but have not seen or heard of an Oak Green Cabriolet.

Rare car, hope you can bring it to the 968 Gathering in Hershey. At this point (see thread on event) we have lots of different colors of 968s but not Oak Green Metallic.

@Jeff, If I recall the CS was a dark blue. When the car was imported and staged here in California, I went over and took pictures of it for Joska.

I could have sworn the CS was Amazon. I'll have to check my photos.

I recall the Ray sold the SY coupe and was driving a polar silver coupe when he attended one of the celebrations a number of years back.

Don, we had an oak green cab at the celebration 2 years ago. Cool car.
