iirc, they did very well in Consumer Reports most recent survey as well. Since these two publications seem to rarely agree, this is probably a strong indication that Porsche really does have its act together quality-wise.

I'm happy that Porsche rated so highly however I'd take those results with a grain of salt. Several years ago I bought my Toyota because Consumer Reports gave it it's highest rating in safety and dependability. Lotta good that did me.

Bad apple in every barrel - not you, the car!
I have had my Toyota truck for 21 years and probably spent 2500.00 on repairs in that time other than oil/filters/tires. 240,000 Km, 2 sets of brake pads (original rotors), 2 sets of headlights, one set of shocks, exhaust mani, 3 mufflers and a crank end seal.

Bad apple in every barrel? "Since September, Toyota has recalled 8.5 million vehicles" (USA Today 3/2/2010) That's more like the whole freakin orchard!
What's immoral is that these rating agencies make money claiming that they have knowledge they evidently do not. Well, fool me once...
