the squeak is gone!!! woohoo!

car now corner balanced and aligned. once again feels good.

now i can finish up the last remaining projects.

this project, as well as all of the stuff over the last couple of years, has really been hard on the paint though. i'm in for a repaint in the not too distant future.

350 miles and no issues yet. all seems to be right with the world. i have a small noise somewhere in the right rear that i want to track down, but it sounds like something non-critical is just moving around. going to do an oil change and analysis in the next few days. other than that, i think i'm on to other stuff.

starting to have fun driving it now. i have one more drive before i change the oil and really get moving. the motor is breaking in nicely. power is definitely up. dialing in the new shocks now. it's amazing at how one click on these transforms the ride. i think i'm now only one click away from really having it nailed. it's extremely close as it stands.

Flash I'm curious as to how your rebuilt and super-bearing-ized torque tube is working. Did you end up with any less vibration and/or driveline noises due to your lightweight flywheel?

yes! however, it is NOT gone by any means. it just reduced the amplitude and soften the onset a bit

Did you ever drive it after the TT rebuild, but before the engine rebuild? If not, I wonder if the super-balancing the rebuilt engine received might be contributing to the reduction in noise.

I'm not liking the real soft engagement feel of my fairly newly installed AP pressure plate with the stock DMF (and, to tell the truth, pedal weight is not as light as I was expecting with this 2500 lb. unit). I'll most likely swap in an RS Barn 18 lb. flywheel at some point. I'm thinking that might be a good time to get the TT re-done with the super bearings too - assuming my wallet can withstand the pressure.
